What The Brief stores

When you use Sign in with Apple, The Brief stores the name and email or private relay address Apple provides, an Apple-linked authentication record, and the briefing preferences you choose. Saved reading choices remain on your device unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

Why

This information is used only to sign you in, keep your briefing choices with your account, provide the news service, prevent abuse, and support purchases.

Subscriptions

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Brief does not receive or store your payment-card details.

News and analytics

The Brief collects public reporting from named publishers to create attributed briefings. It does not sell personal data, run third-party advertising, or build an engagement profile for an infinite feed.

Retention and deletion

Account and preference records are retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion through the support page. Operational logs may be retained briefly for reliability and security.
